Providence, RI – International Cybernetics (ICC) attended ATSSA’s 2022 Midyear Meeting August 23-26. The meeting was held at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island.

ICC’s Jason Trotter attended, joining like-minded professionals who are focused on roadway safety. Of particular interest to ICC was the High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) Council meeting. The council promotes the safety benefits resulting from using this treatment as a countermeasure to speeding. HFST is a proven low-cost safety counterstep that reduces crashes at horizontal curves up to 48 percent (per FHWA), which ultimately supports ATSSA’s purpose.

Who is ATSSA? The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) represents the road, traffic, and highway infrastructure safety industry. Their core purpose: To advance road safety! They accomplish this by helping shift the focus of transportation towards saving lives and reducing injuries.
