Tampa, FL – International Cybernetics (ICC) was busy at the 2022 APWA Florida Public Works Expo this week in Tampa. ICC kicked off the event with the ICC team presenting on several topics. Subjects included:

  • Tues April 19 @8:45 am, “Beyond PCI – Transition to Automated Road Condition Measurement and PMS Enhancement at Sumter County (T3)” – Presenters: Jason Trotter and Steven Cohoon, P.E. Assistant Director – Planning & Design Public Works (Board of Sumter County Commissioners)
  • Tues April 19 @10:00 am, “Development and Applications of the New ASTM-E3303 Standard, “Practice for Generating Pavement Surface Cracking Indices” – Presenter: Danilo Balzarini, Ph.D.
  • Wed April 20 @8:30am, “Surface Friction Testing of Patterned Pavements per Florida DOT FM5‐592 (W3)” – Presenter: Adam Kennedy

On Thursday, the team exhibited in the trade show and discussed the challenges, opportunities, and importance of pavement and asset management in public works. ICC enjoyed connecting with partners, clients, friends, and anyone curious to learn more about ICC and how we support reliable data-driven pavement industry decision-making! The 2022 APWA FL took place from April 18-22.
