Chicago, IL – The Mid America Association of State Transportation Officials, best known as MAASTO, hosted their Annual Meeting from Aug 31 – Sept 1 in Chicago, IL. It was a refreshing couple of days in the beautiful city where ICC’s Jason Trotter and Michael Robson participated with other transport leaders and professionals in engaging discussions supporting the future of transportation in Midwest America.

Throughout the sessions, participants shared, learned, and collaborated on new ideas and technologies regarding the dynamic field of transportation. The Annual Meeting agenda kicked off Tuesday morning, as Illinois Secretary of Transportation Omar Osman welcomed attendees and acting FHWA Administrator Stephanie Pollack discussed the effects of COVID on transportation. This shed light on the current economic impact, GHG emissions, and some surprising safety numbers. Further discussions on these and other transportation topics were covered in the variety of sessions.

Thank you Chicago!
