Largo, FL – Living our motto “better data, better decisions,” our ICC Operators and two (2) IrisPRO Pave survey vehicles were at the NCAT Test Track, located at the National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University, to complete the AASHTO R-56 Class 1 profiler certification.

The profiler certification program involves three (3) types of Dense Graded Asphalt (DGA) surfaces of low, medium, and high smoothness. It also includes an Open Graded Friction Course (OGFC), where each surface is run 10 times. The accuracy and repeatability of the system’s reported data are measured against the required standards, whose baseline was established by NCAT’s SurPRO 4000.

ICC is pleased to report the successful achievement of 4 Operator Certifications and two (2) AASHTO R 56, Class 1 certifications for our IrisPRO Pave vehicles. ICC’s systems far exceeded the required specifications by on both accuracy and repeatability, achieving 97% or better on most measures!

Data provided from pavement survey equipment is the building block of pavement management programs, aiding in the direction of funds for preservation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of critical roadway infrastructure. Certification programs like this enable trust in the equipment and data collection programs used by agencies.

ICC… Better Data, Better Decisions!
